Hello AM Lovers,
This morning I were faling nearly from my chair...
Just before 6 o'clock in the morning, I thought...

'Do I hear this good or am I dreaming...'? Huh

Yes I were awake earlier... hi, hi...
Around 05:50 hour Summertime by me.... thats 03:50 GMT time!
And I heard Don K4KYV in AM on 7290 khz.
With a weak to fair signal, the freq. were not complete free by me.
I guess a BC station also using the same freq.?
I hear only him, not the 2 other stations he were talking with.
Perhaps 7295 khz is better during that time for us to receive AM.

I heard Don 'talking and talking', but after 06:15 hour his signal were weaker.
But still I could hear the most words from Don.

Yes I were very surpriced to hear Don this morning on 40 meters in AM. Smiley
I think the conditions were good, just like yesterday early in the morning.
Around the same time I heard on 1620 Khz mediumwave: Radio Rebelde from Cuba!

Oh by the way my receiver: Kenwood R 5000
Antenna: dipole 2x +/- 33 meters, N - S, connect with home made antenna-tuner to receiver.

Next days I keep my 'ears & eyes' on 40 meters (7290 - 7295) between 05:50 - 06:20 (time by me).
Perhaps I can receive again AM from the Usa...

Hi, hi.... Grin
After Don I have heard no AM station again on 7290 (or 7295),
But the Sun is comming....
I mean, conditions....

But, but....
This morning around 06.45 hour (by me) I could hear 'Bob and Gordon' on 3875!
Not strong, but readable....

I keep my 'ears & eyes' next mornings on 40 meters. Wink

Oh by the way, yesterday and this morning I heard...
On 1660 khz: WGIT on mediumwave!
See: https://farodesantidad.com/

But I am not sure, when conditions on mw are good...
Evenso the conditions on 80 and 40 are good...

And that would of course be K1KBW and W2GOR.  I heard them strapping into northwest Georgia well past 1:00 AM EDT, even with the  intense thunderstorm activity.  Some fine-tuning of the audio chain going on, and a valuable education on "supplement interactions".   Thank you, gentlemen!

My smart?phone voicetext screws up homophones, but they are crystal clear from my 75 meter plate-modulated AM transmitter

Hello AM Lovers,
Late yesterday evening by me....
I listen shortly by a webreceiver in the Usa and I hear Tim (WA1HLR) on 7290 khz.
But I could not heard him (and the other stations) (direct) by me.
On my own receiver a very strong BC station on 7285 from China?
Evenso I heard on 7290 a BC station....

But this early morning from 7285 - 7295 were totaly clean by me. Shocked
Those BC stations from China (and Japan?) are not always on air.
I am wondering if you (AM Lovers) in the Usa can evenso heard them?

No, we may not use that freq., but it is nice to receive AM on 40 meters.
I can tell you between 7,0 -7,2 MHz is very busy by ssb stations.

Yes: K1KBW and W2GOR
I heard Gordon mention he did go to bed.
And breakfast time for me....
While I listened to them....

A Happy Easter for all AM Lovers! Wink

Greetings,
