Found this changeover relay. The label is gone. Anybody recognize it? Mostly want the power rating. It seems to work on 120 VAC ok.
Thanks!!!

B&W I think.  May be listed in an old Allied catalog on-line.

I also have an unlabeled one that I believe is B&W. It is used regularly on my Johnson Viking 2 - 100 watt carrier plate mod - with no issues.

Great! Thanks. I did some searching and it appears to be Model 377 by B+W. Did not find any ratings yet. I want to use it with a 32V3 and 75A1 at the W1VCM museum station.  Should work fine if it works with a Viking. The relay was found in a drawer, origin unknown.
Thanks!

I read your post, just happened to have the B+W catalog on my desk.  Pete already answered your question.

Big thanks to all! I have tested the relay so far but its not in service yet. Not until the 75A1 gets recapped etc.

Set it up so that the transmitter output is fully OFF before the relay moves and it will likely handle a lot of power.

I used a similar T/R relay on the output of one of my converted broadcast rigs.  I keyed it through a smaller DC relay that was activated by my external controls.  The additional relay provided a bit of delay, and I think I added a little more time delay from a resistor and capacitor to make sure the rig output was down to zero before the T/R relay started to move.

I'm talking fractions of second of delay - just enough so I could tell there was a "snick, snack" sequence happening.  Switch the PTT switch, then hear the click of the relay as a separate event.

Inspection after some operating confirmed no signs of arcing inside.

That sounds like a good thing. I wonder what the time delay is on a typical small relay. My new whizbang 7300 actually has a time delay setting for the amplifier keying output. I have it set to the maximum to key up the SB220 (with low voltage interface mod). The 32V3 is only a 100 watt situation, but what about protecting the receiver? A bit more delay could only be good.

I was told that the Gates BC1T we have at the museum has a built in T/R antenna relay but I don't know the details. I should check, though it has been tested in operation for some time now. The Gates has not been on the air from the museum yet but we finalized the 75M antenna installation yesterday so it could be on this coming Saturnday afternoon if we get some cable routing finished up.
