My mom worked for Western Electric, mainly soldering switchboards. She taught me how to solder when I was 7 years old. About 10 years ago I was in Japan for some training. The instructor observed me working on some small SMD’s. He commented, “you have very good soldering skill, where did you learn?” When I told him my mother taught me, he was shocked!
