This in From Larry NE1S

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of our friend Pete W1VZR. Brian K1AAM called last night with the news. We will miss Pete's booming, voice, excellent audio, and friendship.

Also, Jackson Bob (Cheney) K1REC is in hospice care with heart, kidney, and liver failure. He is in good spirits though. He mentioned looking forward to getting back to his house and working in his shop. Don't know if he doesn't fully understand his predicament, is being stoic, or a combination of the two. I called him last night and had a good conversation with him. You may want to do the same while you still can. His number is 603-383-6507.

Covid got another one guys. He fought it from Feb till now in Southern Maine Medical. His inflammation numbers just kept increasing.

I remember visiting Pete in his Londonderry shack to grab advice or just a tube or two for some project. And he was active in the AWA contests too with the 1929 breadboard stuff too. After taking a package and retiring from Raytheon, Pete moved up to Kennebunkport Maine where he had a quiet QTH, compared to living under the high tension lines down here. - Mike WU2D

No word on services yet from Larry.
