Does anyone know the difference between the two radios? Tips and warnings?

Thanks in advance.

My Elmer Ed WB2ASK (Later NR2B), a real SSB Net man, convinced the town fathers that they needed one of these brand new Galaxy 550s along with a Zeus setup for 6 and 2 Meters for installation in our giant county seat fallout shelter. This shelter was like a 2 story building underground! With a giant coms tower overhead.
This was in Canton NY. To test the 550, we installed it into his car and dove to the top of Waterman Hill. He had the big Hustler on the bumper.

He was accused of lying about being mobile we were so strong on 75M.

I also saw him mistune it on the bench and burn up the final choke with a curl of smoke. So be fast tuning that beast!

It was the sexest transceiver I ever saw, until the hippie Clarkson Professor showed up with the Yeasu 101 at Field day in 1972.
