I have 2 complete RCA BTA-1R1 transmitters for sale.  They are located in northwest suburban Chicago and have iron and tubes removed (for easier transport).  Both transmitters were fully operational when removed from service approximately 8 years ago.  Formerly were main and aux TX for WSBC AM 1240kc located on Milwaukee Ave in Jefferson Park on Chicago's NW side.  Originally the aux TX was used at WYPA which was part of a shared airtime arrangement sharing the 1240kc frequency on a time of day rotation.  Lot's of history...  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WSBC   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WCPT_(AM)

In addition to the 2 transmitters, I have 2 complete sets of tubes.  One set is Eimac 4-400's and RCA osc/drivers.  The other set of tubes are Amperex carbon anode with Richardson/RCA Osc/drivers.

Also included are the two complete sets of HEAVY iron, mod transformers, chokes, HV etc....  All in good shape and should still be labelled from when it was all removed.  Will include 3 original ovenized crystals for 1240kc so should be easy to get back up and running on frequency.  All metalwork, doors, air filters are also included in the sale.  These transmitters were set up to tune for a secondary conelrad frequency as well but I do not have the conelrad crystals for them

See pictures for details.  Asking $1k OBO for each transmitter which will include the tubes and all the iron to make one complete transmitter.
