So in talking vacations, my wife asked (surprising me) about radio museums! I know there are a few. My interests include antique radios, military radio, ham radio, historical computing, and broadcast history. We drive for vacations, so say 12-14 hours radius from SW Michigan. (That’s 10 from Chicago or Detroit).  Looking fir suggestions and experiences— where is good??

Two in New England:

The Vintage Radio and Communications Museum in Windsor CT:

https://www.vrcmct.org/

The New England Wireless and Steam Museum in East Greenwich RI:

https://newsm.org/

The one in Windsor is hosting  an outdoor swap meet there at 0800 Saturday April 3rd, the day before Easter.  For all of us here in New England that are suffering from Nearfest Withdrawal Syndrome, thatshould be a welcome antidote.  I don’t have any more information than the time and date, which is all that’s posted on the Website however.

Check out their websites re their operating status due to the pandemic, I believe Windsor is open on a limited basis.  It looks like the NEWSM is not yet back open.
