I'd love to find a TS-16/APN test set. It's a small, cased, test instrument used for checking and calibrating the APN-1 FMCW radar altimeter.
Looking for one that is complete and has not been out in the elements for decades. Prefer the cables to be present.
I have a very nice condition APN-1 altimeter and really want to restore it for display and occasional demonstration.
<100mW FMCW on the 70cm band, pretty harmless and unlikely to bother anyone.
Please help me out.. yall know I have to get my fix of wierd stuff repair.
Sure there is a TS-16 on ebay, however I'm leery as eBay says $95 for shipping on top of the $65 price, no returns, the unit has some visibly missing parts, and the case it looks like it's been stored outside in the elements for years. What a pity
But these are pretty much worthless for anything other than repairing altimeters that no one uses any more.
