I have a Hallicrafters SX-42 in need of a new home. I had purchased this receiver over 15 years ago and I always had plans to restore it but never did. The receiver worked when I tested it back then, but I’m reluctant to power it up now without a variac and at the very least it probably needs recapping and an alignment.
I will accept a realistic best offer from a fellow AM operator who would like to add this classic receiver to their shack and actually use it. The receiver is currently in Wayland, Massachusetts just west of Boston. Pick up only. Please contact me at
