On behalf of those who use it, I don't like the push to remove the band. What's next? the 10GHz band? Every thime something like this happens, it cost hams a lot of money to change equipment or buy more.

There are dedicated operators that work that band.  Dale AF1T for one who is a friend of mine is a case in point.  I have a picture of his shed where one of his modules for the 3.5 GHz band is obvious.  These OPs are not large in number but they do set the bench mark for low noise pre amps and other exotica.  I'm sorry to see this happen.

This probably the case where $$ is doing the talking the feds
