FOR SALE:

New-in-Original-Box  Hallicrafters SX-62A.   This radio is still wrapped in original paper from the Hallicrafters factory, and has never been used.   The box has been opened, but we see no evidence that the radio has ever been removed.   The original manual has been removed probably by the original owner.  It is not with the radio set as far as we can tell.

This radio came from the estate of a ham who had several other older new-in-box unused radio sets.   You as the new owner of the SX-62A, would be the first person to see it since it was placed in the box at the Hallicrafters factory.

This radio is for the true collector, and not for those who are not well versed in the care and feeding of vintage radio sets.   In fact, we suspect that the SX-62A  may be proudly displayed on a collector's shelf, never to be powered.  To answer in advance the question of “does it work?”, the answer is we do not know.   It has been in the original carton wrapped in the original paper for perhaps 60 + years, so there is a very good probability that the capacitors have dried out prohibiting proper operation.

This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for the right collector.  How many other NIB 60 year old radio sets of this quality are left out there?

We are asking $1,500.00.  Reasonable offers considered.  No trades.  No shipping. The radio may be touchless picked up in the Metro-West Boston area.   We will also deliver up to 75 miles if pre-paid for a touchless meet up.   We will deliver for a meet-up outside of the 75 mile radius for an additional pre-paid charge.   PayPay is accepted.

Contact Gene K1NR at  K1NR at A R R L dot net  for details or questions.  Photos are available on request.  However, all you will see is an old original Hallicrafters box, with a wrapped radio set inside.

73,

    Gene
