Harry J. Tankin (WE1X)  August 28, 1951- July 20, 2020. Harry, a lover of Boatnchors was the husband of my sister and lovingly supported her through her difficult battle with cancer, only to be diagnosed himself with it too soon after her passing. Harry and I enjoyed a deep and supportive friendship accented by our mutually twisted sense of humor and love of ham radio. It’s been too much fun, Harry. You left the world a better place and will be greatly missed.

Wow, I'm really sorry.

Last logged QSO I had with Harry was March of 2019.  Maybe the sickness was keeping him off the air.

Again, I am very sorry for your loss (and everyone else's loss, too !).

I have had many enjoyable QSO's, and in person visits with Harry over the years.  One of the last times, was when a bunch of us went over to visit Matt-N2WXQ at his former horse farm in NJ.   We all got together for lunch and it was a blast talking about boat anchors and other things with Harry.  Harry was also a loyal supporter of the AWA PM/AM net that I host on Sundays.

He was a valiant fighter with his cancer battle.  He never gave up but like so many other cancer victim's, cancer won it, but it was not due to him giving up.

To all those that he leaves behind, we wish them all the best as the mourn his loss.  I will forever remember the great times both on and off the air with Harry.

I'm so sorry, Carl. Embarrassed

More and more of us leave every day.

I'm very lucky to be here.
