Seems the big three are all suffering a major national outage today.  Have not been able to make calls for the last two hours.

Shown is network outage map for Sprint/T-Mobile.  Verizon and AT&T show similar failure areas on their maps.  Users all over the country are reporting outages.

AM on the HF bands reportedly still fully functional!

That's one example of why I refuse to lose my POTS line and go completely cellular or VoIP as so many others have done. Wireline service, while still available, will remain my "chest pains in the middle of the night" line.

I have doubts about the accuracy of these outage maps.  There was no outage in my region yesterday, yet the map appears to say there was.  I have noticed this several times before.  So, I don't give them much credence.

I am not saying you didn't experience an outage.  I'm just saying I question their accuracy.

Those maps can be misleading. Zoom way in and it looks a lot different. Further, check the average outage times. Often the times are very short and widely spread out geographically in a specific region.
