I know it should be modulating or making RF, but it isn't, it's a used up broadcast pull from the mid 1980's when I worked for said AM while a college student. I've had it on a wood base as a novelty lamp next to my stereo for years, and I wanted to make it nicer. So I am seeking a socket to put it in. I don't want to spend a ton on it; if these are made of gold/unobtainium then I don't want to take one from its real job...
