Hi KC,

As a person who is CONSTANTLY AMAZED at the power of GOOGLE searches,  you might try    Hatchi ### ##### #####  to see what you can fing ... may be a cross there.

I have no access to any specific crosses,  and the alternate mfg would have a lot to do with the nature of the exact  part needed

AND,  you might look at All Electronics, who have had some CCFLs.

Thanks for the sugestions....
I googled the display part number
I've found a replacement online, but, the GB website wants me to order withought entering any part info. In other words, give me your cc number and i'll send you A part.. I'm not the shar pest   jahy ehn but paying for a pig in a poke sounds stuped to me . What I really need is the Volt/ amps for the display tube: digi key has the parts.... I've no HV probe.... These things have a starting voltage(ignition) and a opperating voltage. I dont want to fry my laptop so she sits --- cold keyboard, no memory of better times, no response....  Kinda like a wife
