NEAR-FEST XXVI UPDATE 0500 13 October 2019

UPDATE!!!!!!
The XXVI Fester is over and we are still solvent.  Thanks to the AM and vintage radio communities who were well represented despite the dire warnings of doom and gloom that seemed to affect many others this time.

Problem was many people were looking at the WX forecasts for the Boston area.  Deerfield has totally different weather patterns.  While they were having a Nor’easter in eqstern MA and out on the Cape Deerfield was dry and cloudy.  I saw a lot of great stuff and, despite stern warnings from the War Department, I came home with a few goodies.

It was good to see Todd and Steve who drove all the way from the Richmond VA area. W3JN was there in spirit.  Steve posted a list of the AMers in attendance.  Also there was a decent crowd
at Johnson’s restaurant on Friday night.  

Moral of the story is don’t even look at weather forecasts.  Just come.

Next NEAR-Fest (XXVII) is May 1st and 2nd, 2020.
