Took this pix down at the Watch Hill RI Lighthouse while I was down there to fish for stripers and 40 meter DX from the mobile this morning.  Not sure what atmospheric condition caused the marked sharp difference in the light above the horizon, but being  a ham of course made me think it was in fact the fabled DX’ers friend, the Gray Line!

As usual, for some unknown reason the thumbnail pix is inverted on the post, but fear not, it will come out right side up when clicking on the link!

Your best isn't as good as you can be.

I noticed the same "red sky in the morning" here in Waterford, NY today. Fortunately (I was thinking) I'm not a sailor.

Troy, NY is on the other side. So I try to avoid it. Wink

There is an old saying, "Red Sky in the Morning, Sailor take warning....Red Sky at Night, Sailor's delight".

Were you using an iPhone? I’ve seen this inversion issue with photos taken on an iPhone.

Yes, taken with an IPhone 7.  Only seems to be an issue on this forum, always goes through correctly on email attachments and pastes into texts and emails.  Have not posted pix to any other forums recently with the 7 though.  Has been a consistent minor annoyance here, but links in my posts come up correctly.  If I flipped the image so the thumbprint shows up properly, I suspect that it would come up inverted from the link.
