http://www.virhistory.com/ham/shelby-19/IMG_3463.JPGI used to have a pair of these audio amplifiers.
http://www.virhistory.com/ham/shelby-19/IMG_3320.JPGThey are interesting in that the output stage has voltage gain and they are pretty tough electrically.
the "Universal Tiger" indestructible 125-Watt Power Amp.
Build instructions are in popular electronics OCT 1970. I believe it was offered as a SWTPC kit.
The pair I had was also used to drive modified deflection coils for some CRT-based art displays in the early 1980s. That would destroy most solid state amps of the day, which was a problem with my art -I was trying to get away from using heavy tube amps but kept blowng the transistor ones.
Wish I could have been there to buy them if the price was right.
