I expect to be at Suzzix NJ Hamfest & bake (it is HOT there!) next Sunday.
Who's going?

Would like to make actual in person contact for a change... Cheesy
QRZ!!

If I can get it packed I expect to this stuff to be up for grabs:

(I gotz me wayyyyy too much stuff)

- 2 x Johnson Ranger I... one clean cabinet, one clean chassis.
- SX-28 restorable
- SP-600 JX-11
- DX-100B & cabinet
- SX-101A

Also IF someone wants me to bring:
- Aluminum "frame" racks (equipment racks) ~6ft tall, and break down, will go in most cars (I posted pix in the past, ask
if you want pix)
- Collins R-388 receivers, operational, dirty, need cosmetic cleaning and possible minor electronic
work. (email for details)

I just cleaned up one of them, it's nice!
The "after" pix are below.

Prices will be appropriately set... Cheesy

Hi Bear,

I'll be making my yearly trip, hopefully I'll catch you there.

I'll be there - look for a guy in a bright orange shirt, a hamfest tradition (my wife says it's so she can keep an eye on me).  It's a bit far off to be certain, but the weather's looking good, though it looks to be a hot one.  Orange shirt, wide brimmed hat, plenty of sun-screen, armload of old radio junk.

"I'm going to bring my 75 meter net!"...

That's a good way to catch Lonely Guys in either the AM or PM. Just be sure to secure the ship with a heavy boatanchor...   Smiley

Well, Sussex approaches, the weather's looking great - maybe even a bit less stifling than originally projected - and I'm getting excited.  Riding down with a friend, who'll be setting up and selling, but I'll just be buying this time around.
Wondering - I read here a while back that a good deal of Vortex Joe's (N3IBX, SK) great hoard of stuff would be making an appearance at Sussex, but then I read somewhere else that it had all been turned over to an auction house and dispersed already.  Anyone know what the story is?

Your best isn't as good as you can be.

Tons of boatanchors (literally tons) have been released into the wild recently. I wouldn't be at all surprised if a lot of it shows up at Sussex. It just may look like a hamfest from the old days. Remember when you knew the guy selling really, REALLY didn't want to go home with that boatanchor he brought? Like that.
