Does anyone have for sale the 7 dvd repair video for the R-390a receiver? Every place which sold them have been out of stock for months.

What's wrong with your R-390A??

Imho, there are only a handful of things that one needs to actually see to work on the radios.
There are a bunch of websites with good pix. And, only a few odd and assorted things are not
documented with pics.

There's also a compendium of the "Hollowstate" listerve on the R-390A for download.

Between that and the TM (military manuals) online, just about everything is covered.

I'm wondering what's on 7 DVDs?? That would be many many hours of watching...
Unless it's more of a powerpoint type presentation??

Wonder if it is the same dozen or so articles on the web or if it is some masterful videos demonstrating all the  tricks and alignments. That would rock.

John,

I've never had a chance to view those DVD's, but Chuck had a website years ago with a few tips and it was good information. Hope you find a set.

But for anyone that owns one of these receivers please check out these sites:

Subscribe to this email reflector, read all the archives. It is a great learning tool.

Using the above link find the References section and then download the Y2K R3 manual. It is just about the best source of information.
