Does anyone have any experience with using the National Union Corp. VT136 as a substitute for a 1625?  I need a couple fer my DX-100B and I know where there are some NOS fer $5.00.

It's equivalent:  VT136 is the military designation for the 1625.   Never had a DX-100 so I can't state from personal experience but I see no reason whatsoever why it wouldn't work.

Hi Mark,

John is correct, they are the same tube.  In my DX-100B am using the National Union VT-136/1625's,  and they do work.  Got mine from Fair Radio couple of years ago @ $4.50 ea.
