In today's Fox News is a article about Jackie Gleason. An exert reads:

“He also listened to the radio. He had a room upstairs that we called the radio room. There were dozens of radios. He listened to airplanes flying over at the airport, long distance radio operators from around the world. He had the passion and curiosity of a child with the experiences of an adult.”

Does anyone have any knowledge of Jackie's radios?

Does anyone have any knowledge of Jackie's radios?

Given that the producers of Smokey and the Bandit realized - after the release - that Mr. Gleason wasn't pushing the "push to talk" button on the microphone he held while acting in the film, I'd say that "anyone" had more knowledge of radios than he.

They hired a PR firm, which spread stories about how he and his co-stars had each been using a "Foot Switch" to key their respective CB sets, and went so far as to have some manufactured and sold at truck stops and other CB outlets.
