I just got an email from Terry W2PFY that Mike N8ECR has passed.

Anyone know any more details?

Wow, Mike was SUCH a fixture - running the DX-60 net and all.

He will be missed.

He was a pretty young guy, in fact he was 20 years younger than me. Too early for such a nice guy to go to that DX land in the sky!

Sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Hadn't worked him for many years, but didn't he also used to operate the Mighty Elmac net? I seem to recall working him during that net several times, maybe 15-20 yrs back now? I remember well his gravelly voice and Pigeon, Michigan as his location.

Shocking! I'm very sorry to hear this.  I was planning to check into the DX-60 net some Sunday morning soon during the winter solstice; may do this anyway.

Mike always had an amazing signal here in southeastern PA.  I will miss him and his great/unique style of net control.
