I happened to notice that my avatar linked to (or stolen from) K1MAN's site was no longer showing on my posts.  First I thought maybe G might've dumped it off my profile but after further investigation I found that the K1MAN link leads me to a page that says:

[k1man.com

This domain name expired on 03/31/2005 and is pending renewal or deletion.]

Here's the link:

I wonder if things are going downhill for our RF pest.

I recommend that someone apply for the K1man.com URL right now. It's going to be put up on auction!!

Yippee!  A step in the right direction. Maybe the internet cops yank it because of interference or lack of a control operator.

Or maybe it was because of lousy audio.

I wonder if he knows about it.  Shsssssh, don't say anything.

Keith,
Phil, K2PassingGas did a terrific job on his parody of the K1MAN site. The first time I saw it I fell over in my chair!

I don't know what I'm going to do. I used to visit that site daily to be up on the most current events and now I have to wait for the broadcast. He was such as nice man for hosting that site for so many years. I think he should apply to the missing URL fund.

 Hi Terry
Glad to see you are back from your tour of duty with the IARN Jump Team . Emergency communication from disaster zones is a tough job. Man on the lake  must be proud.

I noticed that my "borrowed" avatar (a link to K1MAN's site) is back. This means only one thing... The K1MAN website is back up and running. I'm so excited that I'll be able to enjoy my news hours ahead when minutes count. And I'll be able to know exactly when to tune in his next broadcast. Maybe I'll even volunteer for a "jump team"... whatever THAT is... And I might call... even if it's just for a signal report or QSL card request...

naw!
