Nico and Chappie (Chappie is the dog...)

May be this little jewel is less known in the US, reason to pass some information.
The SEM 35 is a FM transceiver covering 26 - 69.95 MHz in two bands (so 6 meters, 10 meters and the CB) with 50 kHz channel spacing. The set uses normal D cells, (12) or an external supply from 11 - 35 VDC. The set has an internal power conditioner that works very efficient. The power output is selectable between 1 Watt and 150 mW. There are 3 antenna combinations possible. A 50 Ohm BNC, and two whip antennas, one short one and a 2.5 meter whip. The tuning of the two whip antennas is automatically mechanically changed by a switch depressed by the antenna base.
The set is extremely rugged constructed and really works very nice. I once had a completely noise free QSO using the 2.5 meter whip from the south of Spain to Stockholm, about 3000 kM
The FM is not too wide as many mil sets are and can be used in combination with modern FM sets
If you ever can get one, take it, really nice set. They are still available
