I just became the owner of an additional amp.  The previous owner put one of the MARS decals on the front panel.  Anyone have a suggestion for removing same without damaging the panel ?  It does not want to peel off. This is a vinyl decal.

Welcome your ideas

Thanks,

if the panel is made of metal and not plastic, try a hand held hair dryer.  the hair dryer should soften the decal adhesive and vinyl enough to make it easy to peel.  I use this method for removing mailing labels and packing tape on boxes I want to reuse for shipping stuff  to prevent removal of any of the box material.

If you have any remaining adhesive, you can continue to use the hair dryer and a rag to remove.  Isopropyl alcohol is an alternative for the adhesive too. Try it first on an inconspicuous area to see if the paint will stand up to the alcohol.

Home of GORT. A buddy of mine named the 813 rig GORT.
His fear was when I turned it on for the first time life on earth would come to a stand still.
