I am saddened to report that Scott Porter, WA1YTW (Yellow Toilet Water), passed away yesterday.  Scott had not been on the air for a few years, as he had transitioned to an assisted living facility, then to a nursing home in Worcester, Mass.  Scott was an avid ham radio operator, working over 300 DX countries from his QTH in Fitzwilliam, NH.  He was active on AM with a “de-helyfied” DX-100.  Through the years Scott was active with the Keene repeater and the packet network in southwest NH.  For many years you could find Scott in his wheelchair as a regular at the HossTraders fleamarkets in NH.  Scott had just celebrated his 66th birthday this past Saturday.  73 and good DX, OM.  SK

So sorry to hear of Scott's passing.  I don't believe I knew him, but its always hard to loose those from our fraternity.

With sympathies,

I always enjoyed seeing Scott at Hosstraders.  He was a guy who had plenty of potential things to complain about, yet always had a smile and a friendly greeting, and good conversation.  Seeing Scott manage so well with serious challenges taught me that my own aches and pains didn't amount to diddly.  There's one more Harley bombing along the road in Heaven tonight.
