I posted awhile back asking what might be a good peak limiter to use with my 80/40 Super Senior to avoid over modulation lockouts, the Inovonics 222 was one of the suggestions. I found one at a swap last weekend, now to wire it and do the adjustments.

I have a D-104 with the K7DYY audio board and a 6 foot long microphone cord. The Inovonics 222 has a balanced input and output, op amps from the schematic.

So what would be the best way to wire the D-104 to the input and also wire the output into the Super Senior?? Any suggestions on how I should set up the Inovonics 222?? Thanks!!!

more inpoot often yields more outpoot

without looking at a  222 manual, I think it works at line level, maybe selectable with jumpers, etc .... line level is roughly 2V pp into a 600 ohm load corresponding to 0 vu .... if you do not have a line level input on your tx then you should pad it down to avoid overdriving the mic preamp stages .... simplest way is a pot of any value from 600 ohm to meg ohms ....send the wiper to the mic audio tx connection .... maybe the d104/preamp will generate the 2Vpp needed, if not you will need some gain stage(s) ... scope time

I have same setup - Inovonics 222 into Super Sr.

Connect your amplified D-104 output to Input + and Gnd on 222.
Connect 222 Output + and Gnd to pin 2 and pin1, respectively on Super Sr front panel connector.

GNDs are both the same - doesn't matter.
