I looked at my receiver and it is an RCP, not an RCQ. I also have the original manual for the RCP, matching serial number, and maintenance log is rather complete. As far as I can tell, the RCP and RCQ look identical. Mine has the carrier operated audio squelch relay, I do not know if the RCQ includes that mod.
The front panel looks identical to pictures of the RCQ, including the C.O.N.S and XTAL/TUNE-ABLE switch and crystal (behind the panel).
Mine has the modification legend attached to the front, identical to the one in the radioblvd link below.
From reading, it appears that most or all RCQ receivers were modified under contract from either the RCL or RCK version receiver.
Here is a link that might provide a manual for the RCQ...
https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/national_communications_receiver_r.htmlThe RadioBlvd site has a wealth of information on the Airline Receivers and predecessors. At this link I noticed the author, Henry, WA7YBS says he has an original RCQ manual for his receiver...
http://www.radioblvd.com/NC100.htmIt appears he still has an active call, you might wish to contact him.
Good Luck with your project!
