I was thinking about going to the Howard County Hamfest Memorial Day weekend and was wondering if anyone is going to make it and is it a worth while fest these days?
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,
It's been about 3 years since I been to Howard  County, but it was pretty
Small. It never was a very large hamfest, but ok, in it's hey day -1990's.
I was hoping activity would pick  up since, no more large fest like, Gaithersburg
Or Timonium in Maryland anymore.
I may go if weather looks good.

It really varies.  There are several hamfests a year at Howard County, some better than others and it mostly depends upon the WX.  Last year one of them pretty much filled the whole place.

A better hamfest is Manassas on June 3.  Not the hugest hamfest around but I never fail to find something unique.  It's about 2 minutes from Todd's new place.

C'mon down for either or both, I gotta give you that HT-18 VFO for your HT-20.  Howard County is about 15 min from my place, head on down the nite before and stay the night.
