Hello AM Lovers,

This morning around 06:10 (time by us) we were on 3660 in AM.
We = F6AQK, GW8TBG and me

Jean F6AQK got a big signal on 3660 in AM
Mervin GW8TBG did have evenso a good signal by me and nice audio.

While they were talking I listen to some webreceivers.
I heard Jean in these countries: Belgium, Finland, Norway, Denmark, UK, Ireland and Andorra.
His signal were 'hopping over' Italia, because there he were very weak...

Hi, hi in Italia I heard Mervin and myzelf.
My Inverted V ant. is hanging North - South.
The V ant. from Mervin hanging North East - South West.

I were falling nearly from my studio chair when I listen in Andorra.
Those webreceiver: http://sdr.radioandorra.org:8901/
Enormous strong I heard Mevin there!
I did make a 'Audio recording:', but...  a pity... I could not download it to my pc. Cry

Mostly when I am qso-ing on 3660 khz in the morning...
I listen on the background by an Internet receiver and ofcourse on my radio.
That can be very 'handy'.

This morning I heard NO AM from the USA!

Hallo Henk
Ik ben Nico, PA0NVD in Costa Rica, neuvo Arenal I will listen this evening (for you early in the morning, 06.00 local in the Netherlands) at 3660
Chances are very remote, my antenna situation at this moment is very bad, just a wire in a tree at a bad spot in the village. When our house is ready, that will improve quite a lot. That will be august.
There is 8 hours of difference, so it will be 10 in the evening here.
I can not transmit yet, I am waiting for my reciprocal licence.
At 40 I normally hear a lot of European stations, at 80 I only received  north, center and south American stations. In Costa Rica, there is a whole lot of D layer absorbtion in the summer that makes communication at 80 and 160 in daytime impossible. The higher frequencies are much more open that I was used to in Europe

Hallo Nico and another readers,
This morning conditions were not like yesterday.
For example, yesterday GW8TBG were very strong on webreceiver in Andorra and by me.
But this morning he did have a fair to weak signal.

On my own receiver I could hear most words from Fortunato.
A pity he does not heard me...

On 3660 khz we were qso-ing in AM between +/- 05.50 - 06.30 hour.
We =:
F6AQK, Jean
9H1ES, Fortunato
GW8TBG, Mervin
PE1MPH, Henk

Sorry Nico, on 40 meters often contest, many ssb stations.
In the late afternoon, around 5:00 o'clock we try weekends to have a qso on 7190 khz in AM.
But till now not a success...

Hi Henk
The afternoon will be difficult to reach centro America, we have now 8 hours difference, so 5 o'clock will be 0.900 in the morning here. Due to the high D layer absorption in this high northern lattitude , 80 and 40 will be dead when the sun is shining. I think that it will be better in the early morning (Netherlands time).
