The two 40 meter jammers out of Africa were on again tonight and extremely loud - 5/9+40 and over 30 kHz wide. Unbelievable!

Guess they have nothing better to do. I sometimes wonder if there's nit some intelligence hidden in seemingly random noise, especially when it is repeated.

You give them too much credit.  That makes no sense.  Keep in mind these are countries/rebels in an area with millions starving but place higher priority in buying guns and  ammo than feeding their own people.

It's Rommel!   Look at the tanks lined up between the yellow sand dunes - no doubt.

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Wonder what they're specifically jamming, Dutch, French or neighboring nation?

Then there’s 7200, an overlay of akttr, multiple signals of the last order. Self jamming, so to speak.

I believe it's a neighboring nation.  I read about the jamming efforts last year, but can't recall the specific nations involved.

Seems Ethiopia is it, iirc.

Edit:  Yes, it's Ethiopia jamming Eritrean government sanctioned transmitters. The Ethiopians have also admitted to jamming specific VOA broadcasts as well.

I think I might rather have it local, you have a chance to maybe do something to resolve it. I think our chances of getting either nation to care about our interference is nil. :-(

My sister in law is from Ethiopia. I'll ask her to make a phone call.
