I was working on my RANGER ll for some strange problems, when I came across a 1/2 in X 1 in copper shield grounded on both ends across the bottom of the socket for V 4, the buffer multiplier tube (6CL6). One end had come had come loose the other still grounded, I removed the small what looked like a shield. What is the shield there for and has anyone seen this before the schematic shows nothing there.
