In my many concurrent projects, I have been working on a little SS rig the last year or so. So far, the VFO/LO/controls are all done, and I've gotten bored with some of the other bits.

I've obtained a pair of PD55025E RF Mosfets that I am told by ST's engineers are perfectly suited for 1-500Mhz broadband amplifiers.

http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/datasheet/group2/17/ef/8f/51/13/88/44/4a/CD00108676/files/CD00108676.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.CD00108676.pdf

Now, that 500Mhz gives me a bit of pause-oscillations may be a problem. I'm currently looking at driving these with an older video amplifier, NE592, but I need a go-between, I think-something to drive the gates of these LDMOS transistors.

Anyone got any thoughts/ideas?
