Never owned a heath TX-1, but used a 348 for several years, good old receiver.

Pic is a link to more, including the original Mil instructions to convert the receiver to AC power.

I recreated my 1956 novice AT-1 station with the Heathkit AR-2 & AR-3 receivers.
(Photos in the link on my QRZ Bio.) Within a  couple years upgraded to a Globe Chief 90 & SX-99.
