I know Tron would buy that if he could...
Now here is a true story... just ask Tim...
Back in about 1992 Tim paid me a visit here in CT, about 300 airline miles from his home QTH in Maine. On his way back, about 3 miles from my house, I was following him on RT 2 east, a major highway. Suddenly in front of us was a line of stopped vehicles and some kind of emergency. We eventually crawled by the commotion slowly passing about ten emergency vehicles and a crowd of police, fire and para-medic guys crowding around talking amongst themselves.
Tron was driving his Cadavalac, the blue Hearse with a very large guyed dog log antenna on top. His car always drew a lot of attention, as shown when a lady approached us years before and axed if we were tornado chasers.
Anyway, as we passed this group of professional first responders, suddenly we heard cheering and guys shouting "Hey Timtron!!!" They were giving him high-fives and acting crazy. It was a-mazing. This group of guys, 300 miles from Tim's home recognized his car and fame. Tron honked and waved back. I don't think either of us ever found out just who these people were, but you just never know who is listening. Tim has tens of thousands of on-air hours entertaining the troops and it shows...
