Hi Folks

Just ended up with a Johnson desk kw . The unit as expected has a few scratches and dings ,does anyone know where I can purchase some paint to touch the old girl up a bit or have a formula.
Electrically after a good cleaning and check seems to work like a charm ,but would like to bring it up to it's old self. Boy does this thing reminds me of the sixties.lol Heat, banging relays, big electric bills and real modulation.

There is a fellow on ebay selling paint for various boat anchor radios. I don't see the desk KW now but I suggest you contact him and see if he can supply it. Search for E.F. Johnson paint and visit his store for other options.

Don't know about the desk KW but the darker burgundy can be matched by mixing a few drops of black with maroon.  oil base of course.  Start with about 2 ounces of maroon and add black one drop at a time and mix to proper color.
