Looks like all I had to do was flip the heavy things over and look

115V 50 cycle Primary
545V 455ma Secondary

i stumbled across some more info.. looks to be the same as stancor 14201 and was part of a power supply for military equipment. my chassis is similar to the one pictured but stripped. the previous owner was in the signal corp, i guess he put them on the stripped chassis for convenient storage
