Doing some repair and maintenance on my 40 meter delta loops. Opened up the switch box. Kinda nasty inside but the relay contacts look good. All in all, not too bad for 8.5 years of heavy use.

Yeah, Steve, That is pretty fugly.  Wonder if an always-on resistor might provide some humidity control.
You do live in a quasi saltwater environment, wind blown water wise. The rivers are tidal and salty on both sides of you I think.
Perhaps some sort of plastic box next time  Don't think a grounded box is necessary for radiating nodes.

Way better to than one of my outdoor outlet boxes in our garden beds that kept tripping the GFI breaker feeding it even with nothing plugged in.... it was packed full of gooey black ants, all alive, apparently they were immune from the leakage current.

White goop is not aluminum 'rust'? Still looks OK considering.

Ants have been responsible for ruining more than one HVAC compressor contactor here.

I was fortunate to come across a Crouse-Hinds enclosure designed for outdoor use. The hinged door closes tightly to make a weather seal. The components are used for receiving antenna matching (a band switching relay is missing in the pic).
