Howdy fellow AMers: My bandswich got stuck on 40 mtrs, would not go bk to 80 or 160 mtrs, so I pulled the cabinet off agn, and tried adjusting the little switch under the chassis that clicks in out, dont know the name of it, and it will switch bands now but it won't tune up on 80 mtrs, NO OUTPUT works good on 40 and 160 and feels like it goes to 80 but no output on this band only.  anyone had any problem like this? Tnx Matthew KR4WI

Check the contacts on that crazy mechanical link thing coupled to the bandswitch. If that's OK, it sounds like a broken or bent contact on the bandswitch. If it was "stuck" and you forced it to work, you probably broke a contact off, or at least bent one. Probe around with a strong light and a small pick or tool (make sure AC is unplugged!) to see if every little metal contact in the rotary band switch is making a clean connection. Good Luck, W1GFH/6
