It's alive. IT'S ALIVE!!!

« on: June 12, 2017, 08:00:45 AM »

Just read this from Sara McCarty with respect to friend Liz K4GHT with permission to distribute. Liz is a very well known AM'er in the SE.
Please offer up your prayers for her recovery:

"I really do need your prayers, if you don't mind, for healing for Liz. Post Heart ablation, her lungs and around the heart filled with fluid (blood) and now it has drained (post an invasive procedure), but she has had to be treated for ALL viruses and infections (just in case) and has been diagnosed with some sort of lymphoma. She is a survivor of AML Leukemia as of 2013. Now this...so please, put her complete recovery on your prayer list...she is so strong in character, Christianity, community love and service and so talented in many ways! She is the best friend I've ever had...so please just keep her on your prayer list! Thanks."

As mentioned in another venue
...hoping for complete recovery.

- Liz is one of the few YLs with ham licenses that really KNOWS what they are doing.
If ur not familiar with her, and until a few years back I wasn't really taking notice, just look up her website and see what she's accomplished. I, like many others have worked Liz on-the-air. From up here in NY State, that takes good conditions these days...

...in my book Liz is the "real deal".

I talked to her a few times on 40 and maybe 20 meters. Always a good QSO. Here's hoping for a full recovery.

I know of Liz but never had the pleasure of chatting with her.  I believe several years ago I heard her operating from Michigan.
We wish her all the best with the battle she is fighting and will keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

Just an update regarding Liz.. I have had the opportunity to work her on AM many times on 75, from both her Michigan and Florida locations. Always a gentle and knowledgeable presence on the air!

I sent an e-mail about a week ago to her with "warm wishes and hopes of a full recovery"..

Well, just this afternoon I received one back from her describing a fairly long recovery, but that she should be "just fine"..

Good news  Grin

Liz K4GHT had a setback and is back in hospital. That is all the information I have at the moment. Prayer is needed!

From Sara McCarty on social media with permission to repost:

Please say extra prayers for Liz as she starts her first round of chemo today to kill off a rare and detestable lymphoma. I know the Good Lord, her Faith, your prayers, her Good Doctor and incredible nurses will pull her through this...it's just a journey we hoped to never have to take again...Love to you all.
