The Glow of Wood and Radios

« on: April 22, 2017, 08:02:13 AM »

After more then a year due, to moving the shack, I finally got to installing  the coax, switches, relays, etc. needed to finish up the vintage side of W1TAV AM. For the last year I have been using the flex for AM.  Now that I have done it it's kick myself and ask, What took me so long!  Roll Eyes

What a great boat anchor collection! Nice wood work, too. My only concern is that it is a whole lotta weight to be putting onto shelving brackets. Dunno if I would risk my BAs on those supports!

You are only seeing the desk side support. The BA side are 2X4's bolted to the studs ever 16". It' s all a very robust system..

Very nice Steve, If I had my so called "Dream House" I would have a false wall behind all the gear with a room like a long closet, where all the wiring would go straight off the back of the equipment into the room. This would  hide and organize all the wires that comes with the gear. Perhaps a High Voltage fenced in area for homebrew PS's for amplifiers would be a good idea too?
