I've known Alex since we were 5 years old. We grew up together in S.E. Cleveland, OH and shared many interests. As life would have it we went different ways after high school but occasionally kept in touch. Not too long ago we began hooking up for lunch during Christmas breaks and doing some fishing throughout the year. Yes, even ice fishing!

His interest in radio wasn't as driven as mine. I received my ham license in 1968 and Alex never got around to it.............. until now!!

Alex passed his tech license test Sunday and was issued KE8GJO.

Now to get him to upgrade and join us on the AM low bands!!

With the increasing numbers of SK threads I just thought news of a new one within our ranks might be refreshing!

Great news!  Maybe get him on air from your shack and the bug will bite!

Let Alex sit in on some AM activity and hopefully he'll be impressed.
