He is better but his voice is recovering as is his hearing.  He was a pretty sick puppy.  I'm confident he will make a full recovery.  He was on the Lonely Guys net and later on with Larry NE1S and I

I could hardly hear Tim this morning.

Al, I was hearing you OK FB.

Hopefully Tim makes a quick recovery and fires up one of his big rigs so I can hear him.

Didn't know he was sick, as I've been not doing much radio in recent weeks. Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery!

Well, he had me worried.  He is recovering.  His voice was much better this morning and afternoon than yesterday.  I think his hearing is improving too.    This was a systemic disease that affected more than his voice and ears.  Thanks goodness he got himself to the ER.  They took good care of him.

Great news that Tim is doing better!

I spoke with Dirk on the fone about a month ago. He is ok and is not sick. His antenna was sick as it came down and was frozen to the ground. I think he should be back on the air anytime now? He was waiting for some parts to put it back up. He one of those who uses pulleys and counterweights on his system.

Funny, just the other day I was thinking, where has HLR been? Scary getting old! Look forward to hearing the details from him directly. Get well fast!

More tests today. Viewing tests results later.  I don't think it's so much an old age thing as Timmy letting himself get run down by not treating chronic medical problem (aka constant hacking up lugies, being sleep deprived).  He's now been forced to face health realities and that's a good thing.  EVERYONE. Take care of your selves - others depend on you.

"...Didn't make it this month."   Grin  That is so funny.
Funnier today than when I first read it.

Kind of makes one deeply philosophical;
-- you know, collapse of the individual's wave function and all that.

But back on topic:
Hey Timmy,
When you manage to read this stuff,
hope your doing better mon!

Remember when we used to confab when I was WA3YPI?
Much closer to you then from northern Pa.
Kids came running to radio room when you were on the air.
You sounded just like my brother in law.  They wanted to talk to
Uncle Chuck.   Grin

Yeah, I got the lecture when I was running a 4x1, carrier
driven with a TR-7 and modulated with a pair of 6146's
via a M12-AL xfor, tinny, squirrely but oh, in a lot of ways
I'd like to go back again.

Be fun to have that 4x1 back. Got it from a ham
who worked at Corning Electronics and
traded the RF deck to W3HM for a 32v-2.

The Dayton blower was so loud, I put it outside
and fed air into the old farm house through
2 inch truck radiator hose.

"Memories...   the way we were."
We need a musical note symbol for this board.

A very close friend of mine, WB2HEK, recently passed away. He always told me, "Bob, you know you are getting old when it takes you all night, to do what you once did all night!"

Since Tim's last bout with whatever he had a couple of years ago, he's been sporting an occasional growl (throat clearing) as if he never fully recovered from that bout.

Yes  I am Back! Spent almost 10 days + in two different hospitals. Fever of an unknown origin . They ran many tests . There were diagnosis for conditions that I know I do not have. Had constant fever and headache. At this point I am on Prednizone . Hopefully for a short period of time. As it is my fever and headaches are long past. I still have to have a number of tests run yet. As it is I have voluntarily given up certain things I have enjoyed for 50+ years. Good Coffee-Occasional Alchohol,That evening relaxation of packing a bowl .Yep, recreational use of marijuana is legal here in Maine. I have modified my diet. I have greatly pared down certain things. I will say that the Prednizone has completely cleared out my lungs. No more coughing and hacking morning lungee blues. I breathe as well as I did when I was in my 20s and early 30s. I want to keep it that way. I have my own opinions as to my condition . I am taking matters into my own hand s and not going to follow some of the advise handed out by some of the medical community. -Film at 11-

Your presence is requested @3885 for the next 20 years. Management requests you take whatever steps are necessary to achieve this goal. Glad to hear you are getting back to feeling better. About the "good stuff" - you know when the body is calm, so is the body! In moderation!

I suggest you get into B&D and S&M to get your mind off of things! Yes, I too don't always take the Doc's advice but I am not so sure that I know what's best for me when it comes to things medical? I guess it's kind of like the old cliche in law where they say something like  “He who represents himself has a fool for a client.” Quote by Abraham Lincoln." Take care my friend and I may see you on the SW next week!

Your favorite mistrient and all time buffoon,

Terry
