Is there a known fix for the Valiant key up/unkey transient RF spike??

(I'm seeing it clearly on my 'scope off the receiver IF)

Seems like one could implement "slope keying", where a cap is sized appropriately to cause the cathode
of the outputs to turn on a bit more slowly, but that would eliminate the possibility of using the rig on CW,
or would it? Maybe it is useless on CW now because of the key up/unkey transient.

Also, and fwiw, I'm not sure if this is unique to this rig (someone else did extensive mods) or characteristic
of all Valiants??
