While sorting out piles of boxes in the shop attic, came across some Taylor 966 rectifiers. I assume these are the same as 866 and I am probably wrong but they are a wicked cool looking tube.
Also came across a few 866JR's, no plate caps and a few 866AX.
One more tube I uncovered was an FG-27A. Cant seam to find out much info about this one or the 966.
Those 966 Taylors would sure look good in a homely brewer, HV supply.

From Ludwell Sibley's Tube Lore :

FG-27A
General Electric
Gas-mercury triode thyratron for relay control, 1929, "S" bulb with cap, UX base, filament 5.0 volts @4.5 Amps with c.t., 1 kV PIV, 2.5 A.  (Made by GE & Hytron).

These older tubes have lower ratings than a modern 866A so use judgment.
