I found a new Honeywell 200uA meter on eBay for my linear amp project.  Unfortunately I had a resistor failure that put full B+ through the meter.  Sad

The meter looks identical to the Valiant panel meter except for the scales.  Does anyone know if the Valiant meter is a 200uA meter?  If it is perhaps I can find a surplus Valiant meter as a replacement.

Thanks

Hey Rich,

Although I can't find any data in the manuals
on it, almost all of the other Johnson stuff uses
a 5mA meter. The ranger, Viking, and the 500.

I have some meters here but running out the
door now, I can check later..

  Hey Rich,

Looks like I have 1, IIRC this came off a big audio
amp that was in a theater that they demolished here
in town.  Ran 2 813's!

     Your QRZ addy ok?

Dan!  Awesome.  Yes qrz address okay.  PLease let me send you something for it.  Your QRZ ok as well?

Isn't that interesting, a couple of 813's in audio service.  I thought that was only something the contemporary audio phools were doing.

   Hey Rich,

It's cool man, I let it fly this morning.
Glad it can help you out. I come across
this stuff and as we all do, just hope to
preserve it so they can "carry on". Glad
   it can.

Please strap a couple back to back diodes
(1N4007) across him. Not alot of "Teardrop"
style case job's left. Too pretty to blow
   up.

Yeah, I'm gud in QRZ too. What ever,
when ever. But wait till u get it, USPS
being what it is, which has been AWESOME
   for me lately...

   I'll PM you with tracking...

Dan,
I received the meter, it is perfect!  I have a cheapo Chinese meter in there now for testing.  To be sacrificed before I put yours in. Tongue  I am going to make a new meter face/scales eventually.  Thank you again.  I'll send you something for your trouble.

    Your welcome Rich,

Back to back diodes will save a cheapo Chinese meter too.
