Great stories and pictures.  I showed them to Wiffen Susan. She enjoyed them especially in this season of Grace.

Alas my kitties are long gone but we do have a neighborhood white kitty who comes around for companionship while his humans are at work.

A beautiful cat and friendly as well!

YellowTom has decided to stay for a while. He was gone a day or so, then came back and has been here once a day for a meal since. I hope he will stay the winter and enjoy the food and possible shelter. He may have other digs but by his appearance they are none too good. Maybe I can get a pic. of him. No such thing as an ugly old cat around here.

Finally got a new camera. Here is old Thomas today. He looks much worse for wear since maybe a year ago, but he also looks 10x better than when he did return half dead. We built him a shelter with warm towels, easily cleaned. Doing OK in spite of disease, poor old fellow. The ear doesn't move but it's not painful. Tail up! He can live out his days on the porch.

I am afraid that no cat will survive coming close to my chihuahua of 34 kG. Don't like it, rather have good relation with both, but can't change his nature anymore. It is half pittbull and half american stafford, a kind of earthquake with legs. The human race only excists to play with him, extremely nice.

Making AM GREAT Again!

« Reply #30 on: March 15, 2018, 01:53:06 PM »

Beautiful Bully!

I put an 125 lb American Staffordshire last year.  Big beautiful animal, had been through a police K9 academy.

Miss him. Every single day.

I now have a new rescue.  Half pit bull and half retriever.  100 pct dingledog!  The good thing is, he gets along with the cat.

My American Staffy just had way too high of a prey instinct.  He was a lone pet.  The dingledog, he loves his pet cat.

One time the cat 'escaped' out the dog door.  Couldn't find her for a day.  Next morning, EVERY time I called the cat, dingledog ran outside.  Finally the human put two and two together, called the cat, followed dingledog.

He's pointing to the shed.  Open the door, guess whose in the back?  His cat!

Haven't had a cat in 30 years.  Interesting beings.  I think she thinks we are all hers.

Sorry to hear about your amstaff Shane. I know that feeling, we had two amstaffs from the same nest. One, the strongest one, got cancer and we had to put him down in only 5 days after detecting, he was 8 years. We also miss him every day. His brother is still with us and is 11 years by now. He becomes old and has some problems, but still with us.
The black and white half Pittbull , Chappie, is too playfull to be trained well. We did pass the obedience test, but e.g defending, he doesn't do at the training. He knows it is no real thread and just wiggeling his tail when he should attack. The trainer said" that dog doesn't even know how to bite..."But when my wife is afraid of something, he changes chip at an instant. And you should not touch her. When it is for playing, he knows and likes to join in.
Our neighbor has a daughter of 9 years and he does all his tricks for her, sit, lay down, give a leg etc. They go along real well. he goes along real well with everybody, especially kids.
We did rescue him as well as a puppy, they did breed Chappie to fight (idiots)

Two out of three, they treat those wine boxes in the kitchen like garages and they don't get stepped on.

Patrick, your old orange guy reminded me of Buddy on this album cover...

Just was able to get this pix of the “outdoor” semi-feral Maine Coon Georgie that we have been feeding for the last several years. He actually belonged to a neighbor two houses down, but has always been pretty much of an outdoor cat. His original owner unfortunately passed away earlier this year, and since then, he’s been hanging around our place full time.  Relatives of his late owner have recently moved into the house, and have said they will assume responsibility for Georgie, but he seems to still spend most of his time at our place.  He is a very handsome Maine Coon, and he follows us around to supervise all of our outdoor yard work and activities.  In the picture he’s supervising me setting up a rover type 2 meter beam for tonight’s possible auroral propagation opening.

And here’s Dot and Dash, our new inside kitties that we adopted about two months ago.  As soon as we saw them at a local animal shelter where they were born, I knew what their names would be.  They are sister domestic short hair females.  Dot has a couple of big black dots on her sides, and Dash has several dash like markings.  They are very much bonded to one another, and due to Dot having impaired vision from a congenital condition, the shelter thought it best to have them be adopted as a pair.  We’re glad we found them, they are very loving and gentle kittens.

In picture, Dot appears to be tuning up their little kitty Buddipole antenna system cat toy.

One of my cats always jumps up on the desk and demands attention as soon as I turn up the audio on a receiver. Being a retired show cat (he was in a trained animal show before I adopted him) he tends to respond to sounds. Electabuzz (they named him, but it works…) is a furry cat.

Remember the drawings when you were a kid that would have animals hidden in a tree? This is kinda-sorta the same thing. Find Dickens, my station manager, in this photo...

Lucky the shop cat (RIP). He was only 5... had a blood clot six months before that, the vet managed to pull him through, and we gave him a pill every day until the second one which was fatal  Cry Mean survival is only about 4 months with this condition, so at least he beat the odds.

Here he is helping me breadboard something in 2016 Smiley

Ahh, the talk of cats. A dog looks at you and thinks, "You give me food, you give me water, you give me shelter. You must be a god!" A cat looks at you and thinks, "You give me food, you give me water, you give me shelter. I must be a god!"
This was my Cleo and when she was alive, she indeed live up to her name!
