One night I thanked VE6PG, Tim, for the cold weather heading this way; and he took it kinda personal and said that the front coming through was from Alaska and that is part of you guys (USA). It was all in fun.

I am so glad Tim PG, beat me to it.(real nice fellow BTW) Yes tis true we get all the crap weather from Alaska and what doesn't come from there comes from our OTHER next door neighbour Mr Putin and friends from over the top. Here we are. Stuck in the middle again. (MMM might make a good song)
In truth I don't think yours came from us this time. Nothing went by here. I think it came up the coast from below you.

Ah, yes, but it's dry cold not humid like it is here. -32 is damned cold dry but if you dress for it and minimize your exposure to the elements you will be okay.

I was just getting ready to declare that historic Canadian temps needed conversion when I remembered that -42 or thereabouts is where deg. f and deg. C are the same.
In that region, Ice is steel or at least just as brittle as it solidifies your beard. QSO's are cool and brisk. Words kept to a minimum. Turnarounds lengthy as our dear op's frozen head has collapsed on the key and will remain there until spring.
Now you know why dead carriers increase and abound as winter progresses, only to fade away as summer approaches.
'Shoulda put that in iambic pentameter.
