Now that it is Ham time again I am spending my days in the shack. Many projects have been built some good , some disappointing but all interesting. One was a push pull 3E29 (expensive 829B) amp. It worked but I really had no use for it so I began stripping it down and boxing the parts. Then I wondered. What if I built a stand alone rig with it. I have the tank , I have the tube, I have the parasitic suppressors , the plate choke, the rare socket etc etc. So today I began the build. 3e39 final. 6080 with 1/2 buffer for the osc and the other half series modulation of the cathodes of the 3e29. A 12ax7 half osc (Hartley) and half speech amp. I can add another if needed. Tank tunes 40m and 80M.
Osc coils should do the same. This is a build as you go project which is always fun!
